1950s Thin Edge Full Size Headboard By George Nelson For Herman Miller in WalnutThis is a Walnut Full Sized Headboard, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1952. This design was part of George Nelson's Thin Edge Series. It features a construction of both solid walnut and walnut veneer. The headboard measures 2 inches deep, 54 inches wide, and 31 inches high. There is obvious patina to the wood. There are a few marks on the top surface. The one edge has some slight chipping. Overall, the headboard is in very good vintage

Condition overall is excellent with some wear and patina from use over the years

Guhl is considered one of the first industrial designers in Switzerland

There is some wear apparent on the arms and on the corners

showing only some light wear from use

It came from the Vanguard corporate office and appear to have been fairly infrequently used

We believe these to be authentic examples by Dal Vera

The chairs were specified in Oak and have purple fabric upholstered seats

designed by Mies Van Der Rohe and produced by Knoll International

These are Standard SP Dining Chairs
